 Sandy Sherman has developed her writing skills for children as a result of her extensive teaching experience in the early childhood grades.  Among Sandy’s credits in the children’s industry are writing numerous songs for Disney Records including two songs on the gold record, Lullaby Favorites, a song in the popular More Silly Songs album (which was on Billboard’s Top Kid Audio charts for over 99 weeks), and songs in The Twelve Days of Christmas, Playtime and Babies Day.  Many of her songs have been licensed in such shows as Shari Lewis’ TV show, Lamb Chop’s Play Along; Disney Channel’s Little Mermaid’s Island; The Children’s Television Workshop’s Square One, and KCAL’s Sing Me a Story, Belle.  Her Disney Christmas song, “He Delivers” has also been released by Hal Leonard as sheet music for two and three part voice.  A video version of this song has been released by Buena Vista Videos in their Sing Along Songs— The Twelve Days of Christmas and has sold over 2 million copies. Leap Frog Toys has utilized her talents as an educational consultant and she has written numerous educational songs for a variety of their toy products.

 In addition to writing for children’s projects, Sandy also has an extensive credit list of songs written for all ages.  Many of these songs have been featured in film and T.V. such as Police Academy Four (soundtrack and movie), Ghost Fever (the theme song), Walker Texas Ranger, All My Children, In the Line of Duty, Stormy Weathers, Tickets to a Dream, Daybreak, The Substitute,The X Files,” Pacific Blue, All the Winters That Have Been, Night Sins, When Husbands Cheat, Nightmare in Big Sky Country, The Cape, The District, Passions, The Young and The Restless, Felicity, Six Foot Under, Sex in The City, The Faithful Traveler, Swing, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, Las Vegas, Shania, Picking Up and Dropping Off, and Nico the Unicorn.  Among her songs released in various cassettes and CDs are “Cast a Stone Upon the Water” in Kathy Smith’s exercise tape; “When You Go Dancin’ (Better Watch Your Step)” in two international line dance country compilations; “Big Rig Christmas Tree” distributed by MCA in the Trucker’s Christmas holiday compilation; “Loca For the Polka” in Artistry Record’s polka compilation;  “One Candle” released by gospel recording artist Tim Dishon, and songs for the Home Sweet Home CD produced by Joe Bourne Music Productions.
